Hope you are enjoying the weekend!

Hi Everyone! Here's another card we did for my most recent classes. This set is "For Father" and it is colored with water color crayons and a blender pen. It is a CASE from my VERY talented upline, Kelli Needham. All of my customers raved about how wonderful it was to color with the water color crayons and using the blender pen. I'm sure there will be a few more orders coming up soon!!

Got to get back to the packing . . . .

Thanks for stopping by!

And Another One!

Hi Stampers! Here's another card we just did for my last class. I found this layout on the April issue of Sheetload of Cards at http://www.sheetload.com/. They have a monthly publication with LOTS of great ideas in it.

This card went together very quickly. It's a little hard to see, but I did direct to paper on the Certainly Celery designer paper on all edges before adhering them to the Chocolate Chip cardstock. I stamped the burst from Bursting With Joy in Certainly Celery and the sentiment from It's Your Birthday in Chocolate Chip over it. I popped this piece with dimensionals. I stamped the same burst inside the card with Happy Birthday from It's Your Birthday over it.
Well, got to get back to cleaning out, throwing out, and packing to get ready for my move. My "official" move date is going to be July 2. Now, all I have to do is twitch my nose and get all this stampin' stuff packed!!! Oh my goodness!!!
Thanks for stopping by!!
Happy Stamping!

Hello!!!

Where does the time go? I thought I was going to be able to keep up with this blog, but, as we all know, time does fly.

Anyway, I just finished a class yesterday and wanted to share a card we did. I'll post a different card each day. My second class will also do these cards next week, but I'm sure they won't mind a sneak peek at them.

This card started out as the "brayered sky" technique (www.splitcoaststampers.com) under their resources. Well, I must be brayer challenged, because I couldn't get the sky to come out right for anything! So, I thought, why not try sponges and see what I come up with? I used the same technique with the brayered sky technique, tearing the paper to use as a mask for the sky, masking for the "sun", etc., using lightest to darkest ink. I used the other half of the torn paper as a mask to sponge the grass, stamping the trees and sentiment with Basic Black ink. It goes really quickly and even the ladies who thought it was going to be hard to do told me it really was easy!

Recipe:

Stamp Set: Lovely as a Tree and All Holidays

Cardstock: So Saffron, Basic Black and Glossy White

Ink: So Saffron, More Mustard, Really Rust, Old Olive, Basic Black

Accessories: Sponges, 1 inch punch, post-it note (for sun)

Hope you enjoy this card. Have a good time stamping!!!
