One of those cards that "morph" into something else

Hi All!
Here's one of those cards that seem to change itself. I had originally wanted to make a "setting sun" behind the buck on this card, but was having issues on getting it like I wanted it. Then I thought, why not just make a black and white card out of it? So, I stamped, with Black Staz-on, the tree and grass on glossy white cardstock and then stamped the buck to make him look like he was in the grass. This focal piece is popped with dimensionals. The ribbon came about as a "happy accident" in that I had started to use non-SU ribbon (I know . . . bad girl), but then thought, why not make a 5/8 ribbon out of two kinds of SU ribbon? So the black gingham and grosgrain became my faux 5/8 inch ribbon. The sentiment is from On Your Birthday.
Thanks for stopping by!!
Recipe:
Stamps: Nature Silhouettes and On Your Birthday
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White and Glossy White
Ink: Staz-on Black and Basic Black
Accessories: Black Gingham and Grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals

Hi There!

Happy Almost Easter!!!

Here's an Easter card I made using A Good Egg. Isn't she cute with her stripped eggshell on? :-D

I used the Tea Party designer series paper for the top and shell and SU's wide oval to punch out the chick. The scallop is a Marvy punch (the pink one). The So Saffron is the full size with the designer paper attached to the top after running the So Saffron through the Swiss Dots embossing folder. Tie the Pretty in Pink ribbon along the edges of the designer paper and So Saffron. I popped the chick with dimensionals. I forgot to color in her beak with either Only Orange or Pumpin Pie before I took this photo, so you might want to do that for your card. I punched a word window at the bottom right, stamped the happy easter on a scrap of Whisper White and attached it behind the window and then assembled the card.

Recipe:

Stamps: A Good Egg

Cardstock: So Saffron, Whisper White and Tea Party designer series paper

Ink: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie marker for beak

Accessories: Wide Oval and Word Window punches, Marvy (pink) scalloped oval punch, Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals

The Luck of the Irish . . . .

Hi Everyone!
Seems I have the "Luck of the Irish" since I remembered to get this posted before St. Patrick's Day!!! LOL
This is a card we made in class. We stamped the hearts from Polka Dot Punches (SAB) in Chocolate Chip on Garden Green Paper and the stem is from the set Cheep Talk (it's the bottom of the branch with the leaves). Layered on Whisper White, then Garden Green, then Certainly Celery and the card base is Chocolate Chip. The Happy St. Patrick's Day is from All Year Cheer III (retired). I used the Chocolate stitched 5/8 grosgrain ribbon on the side to tie in the Chocolate Chip cardstock. The "bling" in the center of the "shamrock" is from the Pretties Kit.
I'm modifying this card for a friend of mine to make it a birthday card. I'll post a picture of it tomorrow for you.
Super easy card. Thanks for stopping by!!
