Wings of Friendship

Hello Everyone!
This is a card I did for my January class. I can't remember where I saw this layout, but if you recognize it, please let me know and I'll be happy to give full credit. I used Flock Together designer paper and the stamp from Wings of Friendship which is a level 2 hostess set. I punched the Very Vanilla circles with the 1 3/4 circle punch and the Tempting Turquoise Circles are cut with the circles die for the Big Shot. The bottom half of the designer paper is the opposite of the top. Love how Stampin' Up! designs these things for us!
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Giggles Good-bye "Bard"

Hi Everyone!

I'm sure you are wondering what a "bard" is, right? It's a card that is turned into a book for everyone to sign when you are leaving your job.
I made this adorable bee using Gretchen Barron's tutorial. The sky was sponged with Bashful Blue, also using a technique Gretchen has on her blog (I now have my own "mutual turtle") -- once you go on her blog, you'll know what I'm taking about -- he, he, he. That woman is an amazing stamper and artist!!! You can see her blog at: http://www.gretchenbarron.typepad.com/. Her tutorials are VERY reasonably priced and you get a serious amount of photos and instruction.
On the pages of the "bard" I stamped different flowers as I was using a theme of "spring" and a new beginning for my friend Dawn and her fiance (of which, I didn't have the sense to photograph . . . ) and then matted them with different nestabilities and SU border punches. I am going to recreate a few of the flowers for cards as I had a ball stamping and coloring them. The side of the "bard" is bound using the Bind-It-All and I tied discontinued SU organdy ribbon on the side. The flower is punched with the new flower punch and the leaves are from the bird punch, both in the Occasions mini.
Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think about my "bard!" :-D

Wedding Thank You Notes

Hi Everyone!

I'm posting some thank you notes I made for a friend of mine. She wanted different cards for different individuals. This first card is for the minister (what gave it away???). :-D

I used the Bridesmaid paper and the new border scallop punch.

This next card was for her flower girl. I used the dress that Patty Bennett had on her blog. I punched the hearts from the new small heart punch in the Occasions mini.

This next card was the thank you for the parents. I brayered the Bermuda Bay ink on the Bridesmaid cardstock. The sentiment is from Elegant Thank You.

This card was for her God-daughters. The heart is punched from the Bridesmaid paper and the Bermuda Bay heart is from the sizzlet. Once again, I had brayered color on the Bridesmaid paper and used the reverse side of the Bermuda Bay ribbon to make a knot. The sentiment is from Thank You Kindly.

This card was for her God-sons.

Thanks for taking a look. Drop me a comment and let me know what you think.

Happy Birthday Butterflies!

Hello Stampers!!

This is another card my Wanda's Webcam Wonders in Denver, Colorado made. This is a CASE from Judy Wiles, a stamper in the group I found here in South Carolina. Isn't this incredible??? I love her use of color.

I used Taken With Teal for the card base. Pumpkin Pie is the next layer and then Whisper White. The square punches are the same colors as are the butterflies which are punched out with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit. The flowers around the bottom are from Vintage Vogue and are stamped in Apricot Appeal randomly around the sentiment (from Well Scripted) which was stamped in Taken With Teal. It's kind of hard to see, but the punched squares also have the same flower in the coordinating color stamped on it. The bottom of the Apricot Appeal piece is punched with the border punch from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.

Thanks for taking a look. Let me know what you think!

Chocolate Easter Bunny

This card is a CASE from a swap I received from Christina Crawford. She is an AWESOME stamper!!! It's hard to see, but the second layer of the card is embossed with the SU dotted folder. The scallop is cut with the scallop die and the circle is cut with the Circle Scissor. I rubbed the Versamark pad across the scallops and used clear embossing powder. Clear embossing powder for the Chocolate Bunny also. Stuck the pink gingham ribbon on her neck with a glue dot. The circles are popped with dimensionals. The inside is a Very Vanilla piece that has the bottom punched with the scallop border punch. I forgot to take a picture of the inside, but I stamped the Happy Easter sentiment from the Well Scripted set in the Occasions mini.

Thanks for looking!

I'm BAAAAACCCCCKKKKK!!!!

Greetings Everyone!!

Okay, this is going to be a really loonnnggg post, so get your drinkie poo of choice and relax. First off, sorry that I've been missing all this time. As you know, I had bi-lateral hip replacement surgery last year. I was doing okay on my rehabilitation, but my mojo just wasn't there. Talk about not having ANY energy to do anything. Then . . . I had to go back to work. Well, I'm sure I don't need to explain any of THAT to you, right?

Well, anywho, I am now in the throes of attempting to purchase a house, so I'm having to go through my "considerable" stash and pare it down a bit. A bit??? Yeah, right. I need to get rid of a ton of stuff. So, this is my first go round on culling out stuff. I'm pricing things to sell, so let me know what you want/need/can't live without. :-D

Below, you will find a list of stuff I currently have for sale. Trust me, there will be lots more. I will update this list periodically as I have more time to go through my stash. Most of the stamp sets have never seen ink (shame on me . . . I know) and all are in great condition. I have also put "UNM" beside the stamp sets that are unmounted. They are also from a smoke free home. If you would like to see a photo of the stamp set, please let me know and I'll be happy to take one for you and send it to you. All sales are on a first come/first served basis. Once I receive an e-mail from you requesting a set, I will place a "pending" beside the set. Once I receive payment, it will be changed to "Sold." Please e-mail me at wandas_images@earthlink.net to let me know what items you want. Also include a zip code so I can give you a grand total with postage. I will accept checks, money orders and Paypal. Paypal payments will also go to wandas_images@earthlink.net. I can also send you a statement for Paypal. Shipping will be by Priority Mail ($4.90 for a flat rate envelope and $10.95 for a flat rate box (fits from 2 to approximately 7 sets) plus delivery confirmation ($0.80). I am not responsible for damaged goods during shipment. If you would like insurance, that will be an additional cost. If you are local, you are welcome to come to my house to pick up your items. Thanks for taking a look. Feel free to forward my list to anyone who may be interested.

Okay, now for a couple of cards I've created/CASED. :-D These two are from my most recent stamp class in Denver, CO. Becky is wonderful enough to host my classes for me and I Skype to talk and see everyone. It's too cool!!! Thanks, Becky!!!

This card is using the new Abundant Hope stamp set from the Occasions mini. I colored the image using Apricot Appeal and Certainly Celery with a blender pen. The Whisper White piece is embossed using the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder. I used the lace border punch along the bottom of the focal piece.

This next one, I used the small heart punch to make the clover and the oval punch to make the stem. The focal piece is embossed with the Finial Press embossing folder and popped on dimensional. I used the border punch from the Sale-A-Bration mini along the bottom. The greeting is from All Year Cheer III (sorry, couldn't part with those!). Layout look familiar??? Nice and easy.

Okay, I've bent your ear enough now. Thanks for looking and sharing my cards with me.

Rubber hugs,

Wanda
