Pretty Thank You

Hello Stampers!

Yet another Blooming with Kindness card.  My Laughing Ladies made these cards at our class and they loved the fact that they got to take their own stamp set home with them!  My classes going forward will be product based, so you will be able to recreate any cards you desire and also come up with new ones for yourselves!!!

This is a CASE from someone who's name is escaping me right now.  Shocker, right???   HAHAHAHAHA  In the card I cased, it was a 4x4 I believe and I just made it into a standard A2 size card.  I love the delicate embossing across the bottom from the Delicate Designs folder.  The Rich Razzelberry really made this card pop.  The simple line of the 1/4 inch stitched grosgrain pulled the card together with the beautiful Rich Razzelberry dahlia.  The Perfectly Penned sentiment was a perfect fit beside the dahlia.  Can you imagine this card in different colors???

Thanks for stopping by!  Please leave me a comment.  I love reading them!

Edited to add:  Okay, so I don't know my flowers as well as I thought I did.  This flower isn't a daisy, it's a chrysanthemum.  DUH!!!!  HAHAHAHA

Another Blooming With Kindness

Hello Stampers!!!

Here's another card my Laughing Ladies made this past weekend.  I absolutely LOVE the Blooming With Kindness stamp set.

This is another CASE from Cindy Russell, one of my sidelines.  I just switched up the color combination and sentiment.  She's an AWESOME stamper!!!

I stamped the daisy using Midnight Muse ink twice, eyeballing the second one to where it would just peek over the ribbon.  Stamp your sentiment in the upper left corner.  I embossed the bottom portion of the Raspberry Ripple cardstock using the new Lacy Brocade embossing folder in the Holiday Mini.  If you are going to make multiples, cut your cardstock, emboss the entire piece and trim to the size you need (mine is 1 1/4 inch).  I attached the embossed piece to the Whisper White cardstock, tied the 3/8th inch stitched satin ribbon in a knot and attached it to the other two mats.

Thanks for stopping by!!!  I love reading your comments.

Blooming With Kindness

Hello Stampers!

I had my Laughing Ladies stamp class last weekend.  Here's one of the cards we made.

This was a CASE from Chris Galbraith.  It's pretty much a straight CASE.  I just didn't put the punched circle in the middle of the flower.  This card is made with a couple of techniques:  one, the large Pool Party flower is die cut with the next to largest Floral Framelit die adhered to the Whisper White cardstock, and "embedded" into the Whisper White cardstock with the new Fan Embossing Folder.  Make sure you stamp your sentiment before you emboss it with the folder.  The Dahlia flower is inked in Pool Party and then I used markers in Baja Breeze, Tempting Turquoise, and Pacific Point and scribbled the markers directly on the stamp.  You then "Darth Vader" (also known as "huffing") the stamp and stamp it on Whisper White.  Die cut it out with the scalloped die from Floral Framelits and pop it with dimensionals.  Tie a bow with the Pool Party ruffled ribbon and attach it with a glue dot or two.  Totally easy peasy!!!

More from the Tennessee Stamping Ladies!

Here's a few more photos of our great time in Gatlinburg, TN.

Being the total photo geek that I am, I HAD to take a picture of the upside house.  This is called Wonderworks and it's a museum.  I'll have to check out the inside on my next trip.  They even have an upside down fire hidrant!!!

Tennesse is famous for the Hatfield's and McCoy's grudge.  Definitely had to take a photo of this place.  Actually took quite a few photos.  They have farm animals out front with cute little signs:

Here's a couple of shots of all of us -- there are two becaue Fuzz Brain here doesn't know how to use the auto shot function on her camera . . . . Where'd I put that camera manual????  :-D

Of course, I have to show another card we all made.  This is one of Beverly's lovely creations.

Now, can someone tell me why this one loaded correctly and the masculine card didn't?????  What is up with Blogger???  :-D

Thanks for stopping by.  I'll have more for you all later!

Masculine Birthday Card

The ladies who come to my classes at my house have been asking for more masculine cards.  They are definitely a stretch for me since I tend to lean more towards flowers and feminine cards.  The card I put together uses the Mocha Morning designer series paper.  I am going to be SO sad to see that leave.  I'll have to stock up on it (and other favorites) before this catalog ends.  Look out tomorrow as the Accessories discontinued list comes out.

The cardstock I used is Basic Black and Crumb Cake.  I embossed the Lovely as a Tree oak tree (Yea!!!  It's not being discontinued!!!) and the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes with black embossing powder.  I can't remember if I saw a similar layout like this, or if I actually came up with it myself.  If anyone recognizes it, please let me know and I will be happy to give credit where credit's due.  :-D

Okay, I don't have a CLUE why Blogger is putting this card sideways.  I had saved it in the portrait position on my computer.  Aaaaggghhhhh!!!!  Guess I'm going to have to check with them.  They recently changed EVERYTHING and I'm having a bit of difficulty with it.  I also noticed that I have one brass brad and one silver brad.  Guess I was a little bit tired when I made this car, huh?  HAHAHAHA

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Thanks for stopping by.

It's a Laugh Fest!!!

Hi Stampers!

I was in Gatlinburg, Tennessee for the second annual Stamp-a-rama with a bunch of very talented ladies in March.  We stamped our hearts out and laughed ourselves silly.  Ate some great food too.  Here are a couple of photos from that trip.

Between the seven of us, we had a stamping store!!!  The girls had some fabulous projects.  I'll share a few with you here.

This was one of Carol's cards.  It just doesn't do it justice how pretty it is in real life.

This is one of Beverly's creations.  This was so much fun creating the sunburst at the top.  I'm going to try this technique again soon.  Just cut a rectangle and then divide it diagonally, sponge your strips and adhere to the cardstock.

I will share more later. I'll also share some of my cards we recently made at my last stamp class.  I'm now having them in my house, so if you are local to the Rock Hill, SC area, drop me a line and let me know you'd like to attend.  They are typically given on the 4th Saturday of the month.  May is going to be on the 2nd Saturday as I had a conflict on the 4th Saturday.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hi Stampers!

This is one of the cards my Laughing Ladies group in Rock Hill made in our February card class.  I also still hold my class in Denver that is hosted by my friend, Becky Perry.  We nicknamed ourselves the Webcam Wonders.  LOL  I use Skype to meet with them when the class is held during non-work hours for me.

This card is a combination CASE from Cathy Hansen in Denver and another lady on the SU Stampin' Connection.  I'm sorry that I can't remember her name.  Sorry for the blurry photo.  I need to figure out what is up with my camera (it couldn't POSSIBLY be operator error, right?  HAHAHA)

I used the Houndstooth embossing folder and our new Labels Collection dies (I'm in Heaven!!!)  I sure hope Stampin' Up! brings us more of these in the new catty.  Of course, I had to add bling to the card with our Basic Rhinestones, page 198 in the Idea Book.  The colors are Garden Green, Certainly Celery, Basic Black and Whisper White. The stamp set is called Happy St. Patrick's on page 43 of the Occasions Mini.  The four leaf clover is from Martha Stewart.

EDITED TO ADD:  I just realized this card was a CASE of Connie Babbert's card.  You can see her card here.  She does AWESOME work!!!
Happy Stamping!
